This is one of the tastiest things you can make with caramelized onions. Simply roast a pile of onions and garlic until they become all brown sweet tasty. Then just puree the tasty onions with some butter, and boom, the best caramelized onion butter recipe.
I first learned about how to make this delicious butter from one of my chefs when I was at The Main Dish. I remember the first time smelling those roasted onions coming out of the oven and then my chef just pureeing them with a bunch of butter, salt and pepper. We used this recipe as a garnish on top of a top sirloin steak dinner at the restaurant.
Holy Crap!
This is definitely the best caramelized onion recipe I’ve ever used. Once you make this butter, you can use it for just about every protein as a garnish, or just do what I do….smother the meat with it and cook it on the barbecue!
